Serena van Kammen becomes new Director of Theme Parks at Libéma

Serena van Kammen (41 years old) has been appointed the new Director of Theme Parks at Libéma. She will begin her new challenge at the Brabant-based leisure company on January 1.

After various positions at Walibi Holland and the Dolfinarium, Serena van Kammen started as general manager of Luchtvaartmuseum Aviodrome in Lelystad in 2015. In her new position, she will also have final responsibility for Eindhoven Zoo, ZooParc Overloon, AquaZoo Leeuwarden and Klimrijk Brabant in addition to the museum in Flevoland.

Potential

Van Kammen takes over from Leen Lips, who becomes director of the Holiday Parks Division. "It's a special year to start in this position," says Van Kammen. "But all of them are very nice parks with a lot of potential. I can't wait to soon take advantage and build on all the opportunities and possibilities they offer."

Libéma director Dirk Lips is pleased with Van Kammen's appointment. "Over the past five years I have had the opportunity to experience what Serena has to offer. She has put Aviodrome on the map as the Luchtvaartmuseum Aviodrome of the Netherlands and achieved great things there. I therefore have full confidence that, together with the general managers and other employees, she will realize the ambitions of the theme parks."
